Pink DS Light
Whoa there, hold on! Loads of people search Google for the “Pink DS Light” instead of the “Pink DS Lite”. It’s most definitely the Pink DS Lite (as in not heavy), rather than the Pink DS Light (as in not dark), but it is slightly confusing isn’t it?

<<<<<<< This is the Pink DS Lite. If you know you want this console then head straight over to PINK DS LITE where we give you a FULL breadown of all the Nintendo Pink DS Lite’s features. But, there are three fantastic Nintendo DS consoles to choose from. Think of them as Small (Nintendo DS Light), Regular (Nintendo DSi) and Large (Nintendo DSi XL).
If you want a FULL comparison of the features of all three new Nintendo DS consoles then head over to NINTENDO DS LIGHT but if you just want a brief summary then read on ….
So what’s the real differences? We’ll start with size but that isn’t the only difference so read carefully!
The Pink DS Light is the smallest at 133 mm wide, with 3″ screens.
The Pink DSi is next at 137 mm wide, with 3.25″ screens.
By far the biggest biggest is the more grown up Nintendo DSi XL at 161 mm wide with 4.2″ screens.
- The DS Light (Lite) is the compact youngster of the family (the Pink DS Light is our favorite) it’s small, cute and pretty.
- It’s big sister the Pink DSi is very slightly bigger but much more sophisticated than the Pink DS Light
- If you’re looking for the grown up of the family then you need to check out the DSi XL. It has everything the DSi has and a little bit more but it’s much bigger. It’s dual screens are a full 93% larger than the DS Lite’s!
All three consoles have the following features

Should I upgrade from the DS or DS Light to the DSi or DS XL?
That depends on what you want to do and whether you have access to a wireless Internet connection. All the online features depend on your own wireless Internet connection so if you don’t have one or, you think you won’t use those functions, then you may not want to upgrade.
However the DSi and DS XL also have the dual cameras, sound studio and extra software – and of course bigger screens and more games and applications.
You need to decide if you will use the cameras, sound and Internet functions or if you just want to play games.
Don’t let the DSi and DS XL put you off your old Nintendo DS or the Pink Nintendo DS Light. They are all brilliant!
